Beef Enchilada Dip Recipe


Ingredients

  •     1½ - 2 pounds ground beef
  •     ½ medium onion, diced
  •     2 cloves garlic, minced
  •     2 cups enchilada sauce
  •     2 cups grated Monterrey Jack or cheddar cheese
  •     Sour Cream (optional)
  •     Tortilla Chips (optional)

Instructions

1.    Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain. Add in onion and garlic and cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Stir in enchilada sauce and top with grated cheese. Cover and allow cheese to melt, about 3 more minutes.
2.    Top with sour cream and serve with tortilla chips.

  1. I made this last night, and it was awesome! I did not use a canned "chunky" enchilada sauce. I bought a flavor package and mixed per the directions [with tomato sauce] and used that. (I don't like chunks of onion, peppers, tomatoes, etc. in my food.) Instead of the onion and garlic, I used onion powder and garlic powder. I used *extra* cheese! (I'm from Wisconsin, is there such a thing as *extra* cheese?? lol) Anyway, I think it turned out great and everyone enjoyed it!
