Classic Banana Bread

 

Banana bread is the ultimate comfort food — moist, flavorful, and perfect for using up overripe bananas. This classic recipe is simple, forgiving, and yields a loaf that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1/3 cup melted butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mash bananas and stir in melted butter.

  3. Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.

  4. Add baking soda, salt, and flour; mix until just combined.

  5. Pour into loaf pan. Bake 60–65 minutes. Cool before slicing.

Tips & Variations:

  • Add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.

  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top before baking for extra flavor.
