One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

 Nothing beats a rich, moist chocolate cake that’s easy to make. This one-bowl recipe is perfect for beginners and experienced bakers alike. It’s soft, fudgy, and ideal for birthdays, holidays, or simply satisfying a chocolate craving.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

  4. Stir in hot water until combined. Batter will be thin.

  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake 30–35 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.

Tips & Variations:

  • Frost with chocolate ganache, buttercream, or cream cheese frosting.

  • Add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra texture.

  • Serve with fresh berries for a decadent touch.
